I came up with the idea for Button Caps when I was getting my 5 year old daughter ready for a Christmas party. As I was buttoning up her coat, I thought, this is the same coat she wore to go trick-or-treating, how can I make her look more festive for Christmas. Then I thought, if she had a snowman, Rudolph, and snowflake as buttons on her coat that would be so cute! That weekend we went looking for button covers for her coat. I found a lot of holiday buttons, but that means I have to remove the 6 buttons and re sew 6, then remove again and re sew again,(if I can still find the original buttons!) Through the month of February I continued to look for button covers. the only thing close to what I was looking for where cuff links, true button covers, but for a women's small shirt button,it looked like jewelry and sold for $80.00 set of 3. and a few other versions but all for small shirt buttons and made out of a metal or clay. What I was looking for, and discovered was not yet invented, was a very light weight "patch" with a easy way to apply and remove to buttons, and this is exactly what we offer to you now.
